NOTICE: Presently, our supplier of 1.5TB drives has acknowledged an issue with the drives which affects the performance of the drive in certain HR products. We are working with our suppliers to find a resolve. However, this may suspend or delay the availablity of certain HR products which use 1.5TB drives.
2 Bay Premier DXR and Tandem DXRTM

Although the 2 Bay Minitower and TandemTM are part of the High-Rely product family, they are special enough to deserve their own page.
Both systems directly attach to your fileserver using a single, industry standard eSATA or USB2.0 connection. You can connect it to any eSATA Host Bus adapter that is multi-drive capable. The eSATA port does not need RAID functionality because our internal "in-line" controllers handles the RAID. So, no special software or driver is necessary either, making the 2 Bay Premier DXR and Tandem DXR completely portable.
The DXR units are like having a disk photocopier. The units present themselves to your host as a single volume. While your host writes to the volume, the DXR is busy making sure both drives contain identical data (RAID 1 mirroring). That way, if one drive fails, the unit continues to work without interruption to your host computer. That's really comforting to know but the real benefit is that with the 2 Bay Premier DXR or Tandem DXR, you can remove (hot swap) one of the drives for an offsite backup and replace it with another without any interaction or interruption to the host machine!
And, with the switch of a dial, the DXR will quite mirroring and expose both drives to the host as independent volumes or offer other RAID settings as well. See the 2 Bay Premier or Tandem DXR Supplemental Documentation download below.

- No RAID software. Because of its unique in-line controller, there is no software, drivers or any additional configuration required. Plug the Tandex DXR or 2 Bay Premier DXR into a eSATA port and you're ready to go! Like our other popular High-Rely products, you can use these products with your exsisting backup software so no training is necessary.
- No Administration. Like our other High-Rely products, these units are directly attached so they inherit the security properties of the server or workstation they're attached to. Unlike NAS units which are their own servers and often require seperate configuration and administration.
- FAST. Redundant RAID 1 backup can write up to 120 Giga Bytes per Hour. Performance will vary depending on many factors within your configuration.
- Flexible. The Tandem DXR and 2 Bay Premier DXR can also be configured for RAID 0, JBOD and RAID 1/33 and RAID1/50. Also, because the units' media carriers are compatible with the High-Rely product family, you may use media interchangably with our other High-Rely products.
The Tandem DXR and 2 Bay Premier DXRTM are in a league of their own. And it just might be the one for you to own.
