Do you ever wonder if you could
really restore your network data if there was a catastrophic
failure? Highly Reliable Systems is proud to introduce backup products that will give you a new comfort level
with the "restorability" of your network data.
Our Single & Multi-Drive backup systems are based on reliable SATA hard drives. We use aluminum trays that protect the SATA drives from shock and static and allow them to be hot-swapped and transported off site in place of tape. Available with every unit, is a high speed eSATA PCI or PCI-Express controller that allows up to 5 hard drives to be connected to the host with a single eSATA or USB cable. Larger systems can be accommodated using our dual eSATA controllers and duplex cables
Eliminate Tape from your Backup Recovery
Forget “Disk to Disk to Tape (D2D2T). Our Multi-drive models give the same functionality as “robotic” tape libraries at a fraction of the price. Simply label the drives on a 5 bay “Monday thru Friday” and backup to a different drive each day of the week. You can continue to use industry standard Backup software such as Backup Exec™, Brightstor, Dantz, etc.
Standard Format
Imagine being able to remove your backup media from the tray, plug it into a standard SATA controller and not only being able to read the data, but being able to boot from it! No more hassle with tape head alignment and proprietary tape formats.
High-Rely SATA Media Capacity
Each drive tray supports up to 1 TeraByte (TB) SATA drives. Use a single eSATA cable, running at 3Gps to connect five removable 1 TB SATA hard drives and get an impressive 5 Terabytes total storage! Media capacities range from 80GB to 1 TB per removable High-Rely drive.
High-Rely SATA drives are supported by most operating systems and connect to the host system via a single 6 foot eSATA cable or USB cable and our included PCI controller. (A duplex eSATA cable is used for the 7 Bay and larger units.) Each High-Rely Media media tray is built to last, featuring a built-in fan, LCD temperature display, and an audible temperature alarm.
Speed
Exceeds most tape systems. Example real world data transfer of MP3 files (non-compressed) using Robocopy, achieved 129GB per hour on a P4 3Ghz Dual core machine. Generic Windows Explorer copy of smaller files achieved 100GB per hour on the same machine. Actual performance will depend on files backed up, host machine, software used and many other variables..
Compression
High-Rely drives work with either operating system (NTFS) or backup software to achieve up to 2-to-1 data compression.
Controller
We support a variety of multi-port capable controllers to accommodate your host system. Order PCI, PCI-express, PCI-X, or even cardbus adapters that support
High-Rely units with SATA II features, such as Multiple drives per port, 3Gbps data rate, Native Command Queuing and more.
